Adult Camp 2016 Sing-Along – The Camp Bowen Song

This is where the sing-along really got started. Some of the younger campers, led by Peg on guitar, introduced Adult Camp to the Camp Bowen Song, which was traditionally played at child and youth camps. Partway through, Danielle came out and joined us.

Here are more verses for the Camp Bowen Song, including a new one from Peg.

Liz, a nurse by profession, had another idea for the verse about the nurse.

About

Camp Bowen was founded in 1963, as an opportunity for residents of British Columbia, Canada, living with a visual impairment or blindness, to come together to share experiences, learn and expand their horizons.

The Camp Bowen Society for the Visually Impaired was established as an independent organization in 2010 to continue the summer camp program on Bowen Island. Thanks to numerous hard working volunteers and the contributions of donors like you, camps are being held on Bowen to this day. To find out how you can be part of the Camp Bowen story, please visit:

Telling the Camp Bowen Story, A Video Tale

We just released a new video, entitled “The Camp Bowen Story”. In it, we take a look at some of the life-changing experiences campers have had in the past decade and get a glimpse into where former campers, who are now Camp Bowen team members, feel that the project is headed.

You can find the complete video on our Youtube channel here. Feel free to share it with your friends and in your social network circles.

Yours Truly,

The Camp Bowen Team,
